Payment-security procedures & Privacy Policy Disclosure

Security & Privacy (payments) — ECTA s43(1)(p)

  • Gateway & standards. Card payments are processed by PayFast (by Network International) on its secure platform. PayFast is a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider (the highest level of card-industry security). Amani Path does not process or store full card numbers or CVV codes on our systems; card data is captured and handled on PayFast’s secure payment pages.

  • Encryption in transit. All payment traffic uses HTTPS/TLS on PayFast’s infrastructure (including Extended-Validation SSL/2048-bit certificates), and our site enforces secure transport on checkout.

  • Strong payer authentication (3-D Secure). 3-D Secure/3-D Secure 2 (e.g., one-time passwords or app approval) is applied to card transactions where supported, adding an extra layer of protection against unauthorised use.

  • Payment methods. In addition to cards, PayFast supports a range of trusted methods (e.g., Instant EFT, QR pay options, mobile wallets), each processed within PayFast’s secure environment. Availability may vary by merchant setup.

  • Fraud controls. PayFast applies layered fraud detection and risk checks (automated and manual), weekly ASV scans, and web-application firewalling to help protect buyers and sellers.

  • Our data-protection duty (POPIA). We implement appropriate, reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information (e.g., access control, logging, data minimisation and secure retention). Where legally required, we will notify the Information Regulator and affected individuals of any security compromise.

  • Records & retention. We keep transaction records for 7 years to meet company/tax laws (e.g.,Companies Act and SARS recordkeeping rules). This does not mean we store full card data—card details remain with PayFast.

  • If you suspect unauthorised use. Please contact your bank immediately and notify us at hello@amanipath.com so we can assist and investigate.
